This is what crossed my mind with the end of sum\u00admer and the return of the school sea\u00adson.
I want to say:
Twelve years with\u00adin a pri\u00adma\u00adry, non-nego\u00adtiable place, school\u2026 a nec\u00ades\u00adsary place that I sup\u00adport, yet I have my reser\u00adva\u00adtions. There, one learns a lot: equa\u00adtions, world geog\u00adra\u00adphy, his\u00adto\u00adry of wars, sen\u00adtence struc\u00adtures, the peri\u00adod\u00adic table\u2026 and more. Yet, one does not learn a sin\u00adgle hour about one\u00adself, even though that is entire\u00adly pos\u00adsi\u00adble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The real shift hap\u00adpens when, after these years, one faces the social matrix\u2026 but here the diver\u00adgence begins. These are recur\u00adring phe\u00adnom\u00ade\u00adna across gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtions, par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly in devel\u00adop\u00ading regions: anx\u00adi\u00adety about pover\u00adty\u2026 fear of the future\u2026 ten\u00adsion from cur\u00adrent con\u00addi\u00adtions\u2026 psy\u00adcho\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal pres\u00adsure\u2026 demands to con\u00adform to the exist\u00ading matrix regard\u00adless of one\u2019s dreams and ambi\u00adtions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mean\u00adwhile, a per\u00adson does not know the cause of these emo\u00adtion\u00adal reac\u00adtions, anx\u00adi\u00adety, fears, and every\u00adthing churn\u00ading inside them, attribut\u00ading them to oth\u00ader rea\u00adsons, con\u00adscious\u00adly or uncon\u00adscious\u00adly. For instance, if asked, they offer a pass\u00ading sen\u00adtence about going through a tough phase or some\u00adthing fleet\u00ading\u2026 con\u00adceal\u00ading the rea\u00adson why they feel the ground shift\u00ading beneath their feet while stand\u00ading still.
Yes, the world moves. It was, is, and will con\u00adtin\u00adue to move as long as civ\u00adi\u00adliza\u00adtions inter\u00adsect, and as long as inter\u00adests align or clash among groups in this world, ampli\u00adfied by cat\u00adalyt\u00adic fac\u00adtors like open\u00adness and relent\u00adless, rapid glob\u00adal\u00adiza\u00adtion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A deci\u00adsion made in a dis\u00adtant place to replace an ener\u00adgy source, or a small but\u00adter\u00adfly effect that halts an entire sec\u00adtor, or eco\u00adnom\u00adic reces\u00adsion waves caused by geopo\u00adlit\u00adi\u00adcal or strate\u00adgic con\u00addi\u00adtions, or being born in a geo\u00adgraph\u00adic region against which the world holds ancient his\u00adtor\u00adi\u00adcal or ide\u00ado\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal grudges\u2026 all of this par\u00adtial\u00adly or total\u00adly, espe\u00adcial\u00adly if sus\u00adtained, guar\u00adan\u00adtees putting an entire gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion in a state of shock. They rein\u00adforced the idea that the world is easy, jobs are avail\u00adable just as they were in their time, salaries are high, life is sweet, and any\u00adone who fails to achieve this is sim\u00adply lazy or a los\u00ader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here, an objec\u00adtion may arise that seems appeal\u00ading on the sur\u00adface: \u201cWell, what about those from the Mil\u00adlen\u00adni\u00adal gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion or Gen Z who achieved mas\u00adsive suc\u00adcess? Psy\u00adchol\u00ado\u00adgy gives a name to what one feels, so they stop believ\u00ading the pain is a per\u00adson\u00adal flaw.
